Donuts at your wedding: quantities, setup and delivery

A donut wall or dessert bar is one of the simplest ways to make the dessert moment personal. Here are the numbers, the setup and the right time to order.

How many donuts per guest?

Alongside a dessert buffet, count 1 to 1.5 donuts per guest. If they are the only dessert, count 2. For 60 guests with a buffet that is about 72 donuts, so two party boxes of 36.

Order slightly more rather than less: guests happily take one home.

When to order

We make everything to order and deliver within 24 hours. For a wedding, plan delivery on the day itself or the day before. Order before 1pm and your box leaves for the next working day.

We deliver Tuesday to Saturday. For a Sunday wedding, have them delivered on Saturday: in the closed box they stay fresh for at least 48 hours at room temperature.

Building a donut wall

A wooden panel with pegs at eye height works best. Hang the donuts only an hour before dessert so the glaze stays perfect, and keep the wall out of direct sun and away from heat.

No wall? A large tray with baking paper and a few flowers from your table decoration photographs just as well.

Making it personal

Every box carries a scannable label. When you place the order you add a message, a photo and a voice note. At weddings this is often used to thank the parents or the witnesses, with the box replacing a classic gift.
