Our story began in 1973, when the Hillewaere family opened its very first bakery, built on passion, craftsmanship, and a love for quality baking. What started as a small local bakery quickly grew into a proud family tradition.

The second generation, led by Patrick Hillewaere, expanded the business with a new bakery and introduced a new specialty: handcrafted donuts. With dedication and creativity, Patrick began baking and sharing our donuts far beyond the local community, helping shape what we are known for today.

Today, the third generation, Paul and Mathieu Hillewaere, continues this legacy, carrying forward the same commitment to quality, authenticity, and innovation.

I'm Thierry Hillewaere, and I created our webshop to bring our donuts into the digital world. Through our online shop, we make it easy to enjoy our freshly made donuts across Belgium.

More than 50 years after it all began, every donut we make reflects our heritage, our passion, and our promise to deliver the very best.

How a Hill's donut is made

Three generations of Belgian know-how, distilled into five careful steps every single night.

  1. Mix & proof

    We blend Belgian flour, fresh eggs and a touch of butter, then let the dough rest slowly so it rises with character.

  2. Fry to gold

    A short, hot bath in clean oil gives every donut its signature airy crumb and golden crust.

  3. Glaze with care

    Still warm, donuts are dipped or drizzled with our small-batch glazes, vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, Biscoff and more.

  4. Finish with toppings

    We hand-finish each donut with sprinkles, crushed Biscoff, pistachios or a delicate sugar dusting.

  5. Boxed & delivered

    Packed the same morning into our signature box and sent across Belgium for next-day delivery.
